Hi Patricia! The burning and the pain you are experiencing at the injection site from your venom injections, is absolutely normal. It is no reason to be concerned.

It takes time for the immune system and body to adjust to regular exposure of bee venom. So everyone experiences pain like this at first.

Make sure you are using the correct needle size (31G) and inserting the needle into the skin at a 45 or 90 degree angle. Additionally, make sure you are switching injection site locations as injecting into the same locations repeatedly can worsen the pain.

I did my first Bee venom injection on Saturday. I haven’t had any bad reaction except burning at the injection site. Its been pretty sore and painful . Even a day latter I’m pretty sore! Is there anything I can put on it and is this going to be like this with every injection? Thanks for all you help and advise!
