Unlocking the Secrets of Bee Venom Benefits: An Introduction

Are you curious about what exactly bee venom is, and how it works? Well, you're in for quite a surprise. Bee venom, a substance that usually springs to mind in uncomfortable stinging incidents, is, in reality, a complex blend of biological components. And, believe it or not, this blend can be exceptionally beneficial for individuals grappling with chronic health conditions.

Bee venom contains at least 18 active components, including histamine. Produced by the honeybee, venom contains peptides such as melittin, apamin, and adolapin, enzymes like phospholipase A2, and small molecules like phosphorus too. Each one brings a unique attribute to the table.

Let's start our exploration with melittin, the prime component of bee venom, accounting for nearly 50% of its content. But why is it so important? Known for its potent antibacterial, antiviral, and anticancer activities, melittin offers a robust line of defense against various health threats, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Imagine an army of cells with their defenses up, fighting off the foreign invaders, that's melittin at work. But how about those dealing with chronic pain, you ask? Here's where apamin steps in.

Apamin is another peptide that makes bee venom a rich therapeutic repository. It seizes the spotlight in bee venom therapy with its analgesic, or pain-relieving properties. From joint muscles relaxing to a major decline in pain intensity, apamin is the star player on the pain management field.

Next up is adolapin, a potent anti-inflammatory, contributing to the pain-relieving properties of bee venom. It works alongside melittin and apamin, enhancing the anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-arthritic benefits of bee venom therapy.

Phospholipase A2, an enzyme in bee venom, also deserves mention. In studies, it was observed to fight airway inflammation in asthmatic mice by boosting Tregs (regulatory T cells) and reducing cytokine production, potentially offering hope for those suffering from asthmatic conditions.

And then, of course, there's histamine - an unsung hero orchestrating many of the physiological changes your body undergoes in response to bee venom. Histamine in bee venom can cause an immediate local reaction, including pain, redness, and swelling. From dilating your blood vessels to enabling a faster immune response, it plays a pivotal role in the defense mechanism. It may stoke the fire of discomfort initially, but this is merely the body preparing to battle the intruder.

So, next time you experience that prickly heat after a bee venom injection, remember, it's just your body saying, "I've got this!"

Imagine, if you can, a component that works quietly behind the scenes, altering and managing a myriad of bodily functions. Histamine, found in low concentrations in the venom, is one such silent worker. This vital component makes up 1.6% of the total venom and helps control the dilation and constriction of blood vessels, ultimately impacting blood pressure. In doing so, histamine assists in managing chronic symptoms. Isn't it fascinating how something that we often associate with discomfort and harm might actually be of value to us?

Bee venom therapy, otherwise known as apitherapy, leverages these benefits by offering a natural method for managing a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, certain cancers, and rheumatoid arthritis. In clinical trials, this method has been shown to reduce joint swelling, tenderness, stiffness, and even pain intensity, offering significant improvements in the functional status of patients with autoimmune diseases.

So, who stands to benefit from this? While it could be worth exploring for anyone grappling with chronic health conditions, it particularly connects with those battling Rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune and skin conditions, Morgellons Disease, Lyme disease, HIV, Parkinsons, Altheimerz, and other conditions caused by the build up of plaque in the body systems. Decoding the Histamine: An Unsung Hero in Combating Chronic Diseases

Close your eyes for a moment and think about the vast complexities of your body. How every part, every system, every element is designed to work in perfect harmony, even those we scarcely understand or hear about, like histamine. Yes, histamine - it might not be a character as illustrious as red blood cells or adrenaline, the vanguards of health and vitality, but it's essential all the same. So what is this elusive histamine, you ask?

Histamine is a compound that is involved in local immune responses as well as regulating physiological function in the gut and acting as a neurotransmitter for the brain, spinal cord, and uterus. Histamine works by dilating blood vessels and making them more permeable, allowing immune cells to quickly reach the site of an injury or infection.

Histamine, a remarkable compound, is a biogenic amine that's produced by the enzyme known as histidine decarboxylase. It plays multiple roles in your body, donning the hats of two important biological responses - immunity and inflammation. Acting as a neurotransmitter, it communicates messages from your body to your brain, regulating myriad physiological functions. And, here's the most riveting part - it is often found in several types of food and even plays a role in your allergic reactions.

When we think of histamine, we often associate it with allergies, associating it solely with red, itchy eyes or sneezing fits. Isn't it intriguing how one compound can be so influential, so multifaceted? But, let's investigate a bit more. What if we told you that histamine is also a key player in hormonal regulation? Or that it plays a vital role in your sexual function and reproductive health? Yes, the same histamine.

Sleep, appetite, motivation, learning, memory processing, and even sexual behavior; they all carry the indelible fingerprint of histamine’s regulatory hand. Just as the conductor in an orchestra ensures the harmony of instruments, histamine coordinates these essential bodily functions, maintaining a balance that enables us to perform at our best. Histamine regulates many important functions in the body including:

  1. Sleep-Wake Cycle: Histamine plays an instrumental role in our circadian or sleep-wake cycles, facilitating alertness during waking hours, and allowing for restoration during sleep.
  2. Appetite Control: It helps in appetite regulation, maintaining not just the timing and frequency of our meals, but also the quantity and nutritional intake vital for our well-being.
  3. Motivation and Learning: Histamine has a significant impact on motivation and the ability to learn. By activating certain receptors, it helps improve objective recognition and promotes memory consolidation.
  4. Sexual Behavior: Sexual function and reproductive health are both under the influence of histamine, directly influencing overall well-being and psychological health.
  5. Hormone Release: Histamine holds sway over the release of various hormones, key to managing different body functions and responses, including stress and immune responses.
  6. Immune Response: A critical component of the body's immune system, histamine acts as a first line of defense against invading pathogens, triggering inflammation to fight off infection.
  7. Pain Perception: Histamine is instrumental in the body’s pain perception. It elevates our senses to pain, acting as the body's warning system for injury or disease.

Remember the HDC gene? This gene equips our bodies with the blueprint to produce histamine. Variations in this gene have been associated with conditions such as allergic rhinitis. In some cases, it's not the histamine itself causing issues, but our body's response to it. For instance, if you lack sufficient diamine oxidase (DAO), the main enzyme responsible for breaking down histamine in your gut, you might develop histamine intolerance, leading to various symptoms. Needless to say, understanding this quirky compound makes you one step ahead in understanding your body’s internal fortitude.

So, the next time you hear about histamine, consider this intricate dance it conducts within your body, juggling roles like a mastermind, ensuring your internal operations run smoothly. A silent guardian, a witching watchman - histamine ensures order amid chaos in your body. Isn't that something to appreciate?

Diving Deeper: How Histamine Works in the Body

Let's dive deeper and explore the comprehensive role of histamine in our body. Remember, histamine is a powerhouse agent in bee venom, and it serves a variety of purposes. This biogenic amine acts on four receptors (H1R, H2R, H3R, and H4R) to regulate sleep, appetite, motivation, learning, memory, and sexual behavior.

So, what really happens when histamine binds to its receptor sites?

For starters, each receptor type is found in different parts of the body and carries out distinct functions. For example, when histamine binds to H1R receptors - often located in the airways, blood vessels, and skin – it helps regulate our inflammatory and immune responses, a key player in our body's ability to defend itself. These receptors are also involved in allergic reactions, and their activation can cause a range of symptoms, such as itchiness and inflammation.

Moving on to H2R receptors, which are primarily located in the stomach lining. When histamine links up with these receptors, it stimulates the release of gastric acid, assisting with digestion. Perhaps you're beginning to see the critical role of histamine in your day-to-day functions?

Now, let's consider H3R and H4R receptors. These significantly affect the nervous system. Once histamine binds to H3R receptors, it plays a role in maintaining the sleep-wake cycle, influencing appetite, and managing pain perception. On the other hand, H4R receptors are involved in immune cell regulation, contributing to our body's immune response and inflammation regulation.

Deeper understanding of these receptors can empower individuals in managing their chronic health conditions. Might you be considering how this knowledge applies to your daily life? The answer is in the wide-reaching effect of histamine on various biological systems.

Can you imagine an ingredient as potent as it is neglected? One that can make the difference between enduring the daily strain of chronic illness and achieving a better quality of life. That's histamine, the unsung hero found in honeybee venom. Histamine's functions range from regulating sleep, influencing mood, responding to allergies, to controlling the release of hormones. This is largely attributed to its interaction with the four unique histamine receptors, each with their distinct roles in the body.

But how does histamine affect cognition and why is this important? Learning and memory, as they pertain to the H1R receptors, are a vital aspect of daily life that can become challenged as a result of chronic diseases. H1R-deficient mice have shown general impairment in learning and memory, clearly demonstrating the critical role histamine plays. The sedating effect of H1R antihistamines illustrates how this could potentially impair cognitive performance in humans. On the other hand, blocking H3R has been found to enhance memory, attention, and cognitive performance in most cases. The complexity of these interactions reaffirms the significance of histamine in maintaining balanced cognitive function.

Aren't all these findings intriguing? Imagine the potential of utilizing this information for personal gain. That’s where honeybee venom comes in, offering the promise of a natural approach to tap into the power of histamine. The known roles of each histamine receptor exemplify the potential impact on chronic conditions. Honeybee venom therapy is able to deliver the therapeutic impact of histamine directly to your body via skin injections.

This is your body, your health. Harness the power of histamine through honeybee venom therapy and step into a new realm of possibilities for alleviating your chronic symptoms. Knowledge exhilarates; it opens up a universe of potentials. In this case, the potential for improved wellbeing. You, yes, you, can do something about your chronic disease. It's time to dive into the world of histamine!

In a nutshell, when histamine binds to a receptor, it's like a master key unlocking the body's processes - from immunity and digestion to sleep and pain perception.

So, how does all of this relate to you and your chronic health conditions? Understanding the complex role of histamine, and its presence in bee venom, can empower you to consider alternative, nature-based therapies. After all, if this potent compound can facilitate such a myriad of functions in the body, imagine what it could do for your symptoms when carefully harnessed.

How does bee venom interact with the immune system to provide health benefits?

Bee venom interacts with the immune system by stimulating the production of cortisol, which has anti-inflammatory effects, and by modulating the release of inflammatory molecules. This interaction helps to reduce pain and inflammation, making bee venom therapy beneficial for various health conditions.

Histamine and Chronic Symptoms: A Connection Worth Exploring

Most of us are familiar with histamine, often in a less than flattering light. It's frequently associated with the unpleasant sensations of insect stings, itchy skin, or allergic reactions. Yet, it would be a disservice to sum up histamine's role in the body with these negative experiences alone. Histamine, in fact, is a key player in many of your body's daily operations such as maintaining a healthy sleep-wake rhythm, regulating appetite, fostering motivation and learning, enhancing memory, and managing sexual behavior. A deficiency in histamine can disturb these crucial bodily functions.

It's noteworthy that histamine interacts intricately with various health conditions including infections, food allergies, cancer, Morgellons Disease, Lyme, inflammation in the gut, and more, underscoring its multifaceted nature and far-reaching impacts.

Decoding Histamine: A Vital Ingredient in Bee Venom

1) Alertness and Wakefulness

Dictating your sleeping and waking patterns, histamine plays an instrumental role in establishing your circadian rhythm. The manifestation of this critical function occurs through the H1R, the first type of histamine receptor, that keeps you alert and awake. Quite interestingly, this is the exact receptor that many antihistamine medications aim to block, leading to the common side effect – sleepiness.

In an intriguing contrast, H3R actually serves to decrease histamine, which in turn facilitates sleep. The intriguing part? Histamine-producing neurons are hard at work during our waking hours, take respite when sleepiness takes over in the evening, and spring back into action when we awaken from our slumbers [4].

Low brain histamine makes you excessively sleepy during the day. It also makes waking up in the morning a struggle, even if you got enough sleep.

Did you know that individuals with narcolepsy, who unbearably nod off in broad daylight, indeed possess lower levels of brain histamine [3]?

2) Motivation and Exploration

Thanks to Histamine, dealing with your goals becomes easier. Plus, it curbs your appetite, helping you focus more on completing tasks. Having a substantial amount of histamine in the brain can effectively suppress one's appetite and spark feelings of ambition.

In one study, patients with depression had reduced H1R binding. By the same token, loss of histamine causes depression [6].

3) Stress Management

Consider histamine as your body's own personal alarm bell. When in full swing, it heightens your alertness, sharpens your focus, and dampens both feelings of pain and appetite. It's as if your body is prepping itself for a bout of 'fight or flight,' gearing up to tackle whatever threat lies ahead.

Just as interestingly, histamine levels in the brain shoot up in response to various types of stress. Be it dehydration, loss of blood, a severe infection, or even an emotional upset, histamine is there, steadfast and ready to react [10].

4) Cognitive Performance

Did you know that one of the intriguing ways histamine operates in our bodies is by facilitating certain facets of memory and learning? It's absolutely true.

In fact, cognitive performance in humans is affected by H1R antihistamines [12].

It's interesting to discover that H1R plays a crucial role in memory, learning, and maintaining wakefulness. If you have a deficiency in H1R, it can lead to general impairments in learning and memory. It can also affect your spatial memory, making it difficult to understand space- and time-related information. Which could be one of the reasons behind why MD and Lyme patients alike, suffer from severe brain fog and life-altering cognitive changes.

Another eye-opening fact is that activating histamine receptors enhances object recognition, a key aspect of cognitive functioning. To grasp its significance, consider an object recognition test—it measures the duration a rat explores a new object against an old one, revealing if it can remember the older object [13].

Additionally, histamine aids memory consolidation—the transformation of short-term memories to a more permanent state [17]. This could very well help us to explain the memory impairments often associated with chronic inflammatory conditions.

5. Aging and cognitive decline

Some researchers believe that part of the cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s disease may be caused by low brain histamine and fewer histamine-releasing neurons [15].

People with Alzheimer’s tend to have lower H1R activity, the level of which correlates with the severity of cognitive symptoms [19].

a hand holding a purple and white temperature thermometor

6) Temperature Regulation

When our bodies begin to overheat, a fascinating biological response kicks in. Neurons kick-start the release of histamine, which then stimulates H1R, resulting in the dilation of airways and an acceleration in our breathing rate. This might sound complex but it's simply the body's ingenious way of lowering temperature [23]

Intriguingly, elevated histamine levels in the brain ordinarily induce hypothermia, or below-normal body temperatures. But nature, in its amazing adaptability, has provided mechanisms that allow histamine to raise body temperature if necessary by acting on different brain regions [22]. This dynamic nature of histamine is just one example of how versatile and essential it is in managing our body's homeostasis. Fascinating, don't you think?

7) Preventing Seizures

Did you know that histamine has a protective mechanism against seizures by raising the seizure threshold? Simply put: the higher your histamine level, the more substantial the stimulation required to set off a seizure [26].

Let's delve into it a little more. Medical treatments that increase histamine in your brain may enhance the management of certain types of epilepsy. Conversely, medications that block histamine can potentially exacerbate it. Think about it: both H2R and H1R antihistamines (examples include diphenhydramine and famotidine) have been connected to seizures as infrequent side effects [28].

8) Alcohol Preference

It's intriguing to consider that our brain histamine could potentially sway our inclination towards alcohol. Some research even suggests a correlation between certain variations in the HNMT gene [32]

Let's think about a mutation such as rs11558538. This might have an impact on how susceptible we are to alcohol dependence. The preponderance of the allele (C) might lead to lower brain histamine compared to the rarer allele (T). It begs the question, could individuals with the T allele (indicating higher brain histamine) be less likely to develop alcoholism? [34, 35]

9) Appetite Regulation

Interestingly, brain histamine plays an integral role in regulating our appetite and setting up our eating schedules according to our circadian rhythm. Ample amounts of histamine curbs the desire to eat, narrows down the energy intake, and keeps both body weight and blood triglycerides levels at bay [36].

On the flip side, depleted histamine activity has a completely different effect, enhancing our appetite, portion sizes, and even eating duration. Mice with reduced H1R activity tend to eat at inappropriate times and run a higher risk of developing metabolic syndrome and obesity. Alarmingly, histamine-deficient mice are at risk of piling up more stomach fat, exhibiting an abnormal rise in insulin levels and suffering from impaired glucose tolerance [37,38].

This means that low histamine in the brain is likely a causitive factor for the onset of diabetes and the onset of hypoglycemia- which, many Morgellons sufferer's report having.

The variation in brain histamine activity can be attributed to numerous factors. Notably, the act of carefully chewing your food triggers a release of histamine, promotes H1R activation in the brain, and may act to curtail your appetite. Leptin, often referred to as the "satisfaction hormone," upscales brain histamine activity too [39].

Pregnancy triggers a decrease in histamine levels, thereby enhancing the woman's appetite and food consumption [6].

To put it simply, brain histamine holds sway over our eating patterns: an increased level curtails the appetite, whereas a drop heightens meal sizes and eating duration.

10) Water Intake Regulation

The heightened presence of histamine in the brain stimulates our sense of thirst, prompting us to hydrate more frequently. Exposing the body to extensive dehydration (24 to 48 hours) prompts the brain to unleash histamine. As a result, histamine satiates this fluid deficiency by ramping up the hormone vasopressin. This hormone effectively instructs the kidneys to hoard more water, thereby replenishing our blood supply [40,41,42].

11) Sexual Behavior and Reproduction

Histamine and its receptors play a role in sexual function. Histamine deficiency prevents male mice from mating and shrank their testicles [43].

In humans, histamine promotes erections (and may prevent erectile dysfunction), while H2R antihistamines reduce sexual function [45].

Histamine may also increase the release of hormones such as estradiol, prolactin, and LH [46]. These hormones play pivotal roles in our body's functioning.

Estradiol, the primary sex hormone in females, isn't just a 'gender hormone'. It also has significant roles in bone health, cardiovascular function, and cognition. Estradiol works to regulate the menstrual cycle, impacts sexual functionality, and even influences mood and mental state.

Prolactin is another crucial hormone, predominantly produced in the anterior pituitary gland. Commonly recognized for its role in enabling mammals, particularly females, to produce breast milk, prolactin is not limited to this function alone. It also contributes significantly to over 300 different functions in various vertebrates. It plays a role in regulating immune responses, metabolism, pancreatic development, and even behavior. However, an imbalance of this hormone could lead to potential health complications such as infertility, erectile dysfunction in men, and irregular menstrual cycles in women.

Turning our attention to another hormone, Luteinizing Hormone (LH), is critical for reproductive health in both genders. Originating from the anterior pituitary gland, this hormone surges in tandem with the reproductive cycle, for females triggering ovulation and in males, the production of testosterone. Luteinizing Hormone manifests deep impacts on fertility and various sexual behaviors. However, any imbalance in LH may create health challenges, such as infertility in women, or testosterone deficiency in men. Here we discover another fascinating way in which histamine, within the purview of honeybee venom, can potentially contribute toward better hormonal balance and overall well-being.

12) Hormone Release

Did you know that histamine can play a crucial role in the regulation of various hormones? Here are some of the processes it effects:

  • Histamine has the power to amplify TRH and TSH levels, thanks to its interaction with H2R receptors [49]
  • Ever heard of the 'love hormone' oxytocin or its partner-in-crime, vasopressin? Histamine can increase both of these [41,51]
  • Finally, it can stir up the levels of ACTH, aldosterone, and cortisol.

13) Bacterial Infection

Interestingly, mast cells can compromise our immune defenses, potentially worsening bacterial infections within the lymph nodes [59]

Histamine's role in our immune system is intricate and varied. Histamine's effect on our immune response to infection can vary, depending on the nature and location of the pathogen. Some bacteria or parasites can even produce their own histamine, hijacking the body's inflammation response for their own advantage.

While histamine usually offers protection against infections, it can, in specific situations, be manipulated by smart parasites and bacteria that generate their own histamine to suppress the body's inflammatory response. Could this be why individuals with chronic health conditions often suffer from secondary autoimmune related conditions like allergies, eczema, and arthritis?

14) Food Allergy

It's intriguing to discover that people who suffer from food allergies often exhibit increased histamine production, amassing a greater number of mast cells within their gut. By supplementing with a rich source of DAO, individuals might discover relief as this enzyme plays a pivotal role in breaking down gut histamine [60].

But let's remind ourselves: it's not all about elimination. In the intricate orchestra that is our body, each instrument, or in this case, each biochemical substance, has its part to play. Histamine is no exception. Consider this: those who frequently use H2R antihistamines show a higher production of IgE against food antigens. This evidence points towards the fact that H2R activity could potentially act as a defensive mechanism against the onset of food allergies [60].

Therefore, it's integral to keep in mind that taking too many antihistamines is not beneficial for your health. As the result can lead to the onset of more allergies and autoimmune conditions.

Important note: Are you a chronic allergy sufferer? Our bee venom skin injections could be just the solution you've been searching for! Within just a three month period, we've seen life-altering symptoms associated with severe allergies completely disappear - and the best part? The results stick around permanently.

15) Pain Perception

When brain histamine levels rise, the perception of pain decreases- another potential reason why bee venom injections make such an incredible pain reliever.

Conversely, should brain histamine levels decline or H3R become activated, our perception of pain intensifies [61].

In human studies, an increase in histamine binding to the H2R receptors bring relief for painful bladder syndrome [61]. Making increased histamine levels beneficial for those suffering from pain during urination.

16) Fights Cancer

Intriguingly, the role of histamine in relation to cancer is it can serve as a barrier halting cancer proliferation. Cancer patients tend to have lower blood histamine. Also, a treatment consistent of raising histamine in the body, may prevent relapse in people with leukemia [65].

Histamine deficiency increases susceptibility to skin and colon cancer [64].

Furthermore, histamine in the blood merges with cholesterol to produce Dendrogenin A (DDA), a compound with anti-tumor properties. DAA prevents breast cancer and melanoma specifically [67]. Could this be a potential reason behind why bee venom makes an ideal therapy for those looking to eradicate and/or prevent Melonoma?

Under the Microscope: The Role of Histamine in Chronic Health Relief

Imagine, dear reader, a world where your body's histamine levels are perfectly balanced, each molecule binding to the appropriate receptor and at the right time. What would that look like? Remember, histamine is not just a simple molecule floating around in your system, but a dynamic player in your body's complex ensemble, performing diverse roles depending on where, when, and how it is activated.

a girl meditating under the sunset by a palm tree on a wood walk way

Suppose you could observe your immunity system in such an ideal histamine-balanced state. You'd likely see histamine actively participating in immunity responses, sounding the alarm in case of foreign invaders, thus stimulating your body's natural defense mechanism. Envision histamine acting like the hero of an action blockbuster, orchestrating an effective and timely response against pathogens.

Now, shift your focus to the world of your hormones. Here, histamine helps regulate the release of these powerful chemicals. Can you imagine the ramifications of such an action? It could contribute to maintaining balance for our sexual health and reproduction, as well as other bodily processes governed by hormones.

Next, think about our relationship with discomfort. What if we told you that a perfectly balanced histamine system holds the potential to alleviate your suffering? It’s true. Under optimal conditions, increasing brain histamine can have analgesic effects, effectively decreasing the perception of pain. Yes, the same histamine that can trigger allergic reactions can also help deliver relief.

In the context of the gut, that seemingly innocuous histamine could become the gatekeeper of inflammation. Histamine acts on specific receptors in your gut to help control inflammation – block those receptors and you might significantly reduce tissue damage in some patients with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD).

All these benefits are a result of histamine being perfectly balanced and binding to the right receptors at the right time. Far from being a simple irritant, histamine, when understood and managed properly, is a versatile and indispensable ally in the fight against chronic health conditions.

Are there different methods of administering bee venom for medicinal purposes?

Yes, bee venom can be administered through bee venom therapy (BVT) where live bees sting the patient or through venom injections. According to scientific studies, both methods have shown promise in treating various health conditions due to the biological activities and unique properties of bee venom. A recent study shows that both methods have positive central nervous system effects and can provide relief for individuals living with Parkinson's disease, neurodegenerative diseases, chronic skin inflammation, prostate cancer, and oxidative stress. A natural treatment that more and more healthcare providers are standing behind.

Hi Patricia! The burning and the pain you are experiencing at the injection site from your venom injections, is absolutely normal. It is no reason to be concerned.

It takes time for the immune system and body to adjust to regular exposure of bee venom. So everyone experiences pain like this at first.

Make sure you are using the correct needle size (31G) and inserting the needle into the skin at a 45 or 90 degree angle. Additionally, make sure you are switching injection site locations as injecting into the same locations repeatedly can worsen the pain.

Here is a list of things you can do to decrease the pain, burning, and/or any other detox reactions you may be experiencing Here:

I did my first Bee venom injection on Saturday. I haven’t had any bad reaction except burning at the injection site. Its been pretty sore and painful . Even a day latter I’m pretty sore! Is there anything I can put on it and is this going to be like this with every injection? Thanks for all you help and advise!
